Set Your Focus

"Whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is  right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable-if anything is excellent and praiseworthy-think on such things."
Philippians 4:8

 I think that in today's world, there are a lot of negative things that we are tempted to turn our focus to. But once you set your focus on all of that negativity and keep it there, you will become negative yourself. That is why I really love this quote. It reassures the fact that we shouldn't focus on the negative things in life, but rather focus on the things that are noble, such as how smart you are. Focus on things that are right, such as making sure to go down the right and positive path for your life. Focus on things that are pure rather than the negative things. Focus on what is lovely, such as this beautiful world God has created for us. Focus on things that are admirable, like God's love for us. Lastly, focus on what is praiseworthy and excellent, such as God himself, and know that setting your focus on these things will not only make a better life for yourself, but also bring you closer with God.
