The Present Is A Gift

 We have all made mistakes in the past and we all sometimes tend to worry about the future, but are we staying in the present at all? Between looking back at the past and ahead at the future, are we failing to look right in front of us? As it says in this quote from Maya Angelou, "If you must look back at the past, do so forgivingly." Don't look back and be filled with regret over things you did or didn't do, forgive yourself, forgive others, and just let it go. The quote also goes on to say, "If you must look forward, do so prayerfully." Don't worry about what might happen in the future, just trust that it is in God's hands and pray about it. There is a reason that the present is called the present. That is because it is a great gift from God! Don't let that gift go to waste. Put yourself in the present and keep your focus on the great things that you are blessed to have right now.
