God Is Your Bodyguard

"You intended to harm me, but God intended it all for good." Genesis 50:20

Maybe today you are facing an enemy. Whether this enemy be an obstacle, a person, or even an inner conflict that you are dealing with right now, while you are facing this said enemy, it can sometimes seem impossible to get around it. So what do we do? Maybe you are saying to yourself, "I know that God will bring me out of this better than I was before and this all will serve a purpose in it's time, but how do I get around it right now?" Well, that is what I want to tell you today. In the same way that a child stands up to a bully, we need to stand up to our enemy. We need to look at, whatever it is we are facing and tell it that it cannot harm us. But why can't it harm us? If that is our enemy's intention, why can't it fulfill that? The enemy can't harm you because God is with you. God is your strength and your shield and he is not going to let the enemy even touch you. As the verse says above, the enemy may have intentions to hurt you, but God has intentions to help you. God will not only lift you out of  situation  better than you were before when it is over, but He will help you get through it right now. He is right by you side acting as your bodyguard. Think about that for a minute, God, someone who is so powerful, created the world, created you, is acting as your bodyguard. By doing this, God wants to give us this sense of comfort thatt, no matter what comes at us, it cannot harm us, because we have something stronger than the enemy, we have something bigger than hateful words, we have God.
