Raise Your Hand

"When you are going through difficulty & wonder where God is, remember, the teacher is always quiet during the test." Unknown

I really love this quote above, I feel like it really analyzes and answers the questions that so many people get confused about. Let's think about it for a minute. Maybe you are in school right now or you are already past that point, wherever you are, we have all taken a test, right? Now, a test isn't something that any of us want to do or like, but when the teacher puts that piece of paper on our desk we have to take it. Now, before the test, the teacher spends time preparing us and teaching us what we need to know to take this said test, and when we are actually in the midst of it, where is the teacher? Yes, of course the teacher is still in the room with you, but they are standing at the front of the room, watching over you.
In the same way, the difficulties that we come across are our tests. If it is placed in front of us we have to go through it. We may not like it or enjoy it but it is just something we have to do. And so if we are the student taking the test, then God is the teacher.
So many times when people go through difficulties, they say that they can't hear God. and if they can't hear Him, they just assume that He isn't there. But know this, God is there. He is the teacher at the front of the classroom watching over you and helping you. Also, don't you think that it is coincidental that, to get the teacher's help, the student reaches their hand up? Once they do this, the teacher comes over and helps them through the problem.
So today, I encourage you, if you are in the midst of a "test" and you feel like God isn't there, first of all, know that He is always there guiding you through whatever it is and watching over you, but if you are having a hard time hearing Him and knowing He is there, just raise your hand and it is then that you will know that He is always right there.
