What Is Peace?

"Peace is not the absence of trouble, but the presence of Christ." Sheila Walsh

Maybe today, you are praying for peace. Maybe you have trouble and worry surrounding you and you are just hoping for some calmness. Maybe you are also praying that you will have peace in your life, but you aren't seeing any results. Things are still hectic, so what are we doing wrong? Why aren't our problems going away?
Well, let me start out by saying that  when you are praying for peace in the midst of trouble, your problems are not just going to vanish. But, even though the troubles are still around you, you still have peace. This may seem like weird idea to you, I know, but that is because, in our minds, we all have this definition of peace that says that wherever there are no problems or no worry, wherever everything is just perfect, that is where the peace is. Well I have something to tell you today, that definition that we all have, it is wrong. Peace does not mean a time or place where there is no trouble, but rather, it is the presence of someone who can bring us peace, someone who knows peace, someone who is peace. That person, is God.
Even though you may be in the midst of trouble an worry and everything seems to hectic going on around you, God will be there. Especially in times like these, you will find that He is right next to you, walking through it with you, carrying you when you fall. So now, rather than worrying about the troubles, just know He is right there next to you and He is not going to let anything happen to you or let anything come to pass that you and Him can't handle. That, is peace.
