"The grass is greener where YOU water it." Neil Barringham
"The grass is greener on the other side." It is a quote that we have all heard before, and maybe we have even applied it to our lives, but as we think about this, what is it really telling us?
Well, it is really saying that there is a better life for you somewhere else, that you should try to go to a different place because it's better there. But the question I want to ask you today, is what about the grass we are standing on?
Think about it this way, if we are constantly trying to move to a different place in our lives, we will never be able to enjoy the moment that we are in! We will never begin to experience the blessings, memories, and opportunities that God has for us on this side of the grass. So I want you to get rid of that old quote. No more of "the grass is greener on the other side." But instead, I want you to replace it with the quote, "The grass is greener where YOU water it."
Think about that. The grass isn't greener on the other side, but the grass is greener where you take the time to water and take care of it. The grass begins to get greener where you are standing when you begin to enjoy the moment you are in. When you begin to see all of the blessings that God has for you. So instead of always trying to search for better and greener grass, water the grass where you are, stay in the moment, and notice all of the blessings around you.
AMEN ! Keep our focus on God, our eyes on Him not the world.
