"When I stand before God at the end of my life, I would hope that I would not have a single bit of talents left, and could say, 'I used everything you gave me.'" Emma Bombeck
So many times we look around at the talents and gifts that others have and wish that we could be like that. We wish that we could do that like they can. We wish that we could be good at this or that like they are, but you see, when we compare ourselves to others, when we try measure up to be as great as or better than them, we are missing out on our own amazing talents and our own gifts that God has placed within us!
I mean, in today's society, there are these certain standards, there are these molds that we are supposed to fit into to be "cool" or to "fit in." But you, my friend, can break that mold. You can outshine the standard that you are "supposed" to fit into. You can do all of this, if you would just embrace what God has given you! There is so much talent within you right now that is sitting unused. There are gifts that you have that you haven't even opened yet, and these talents and these gifts, they are only something that you can do. Not something that is popular or mainstream right now, but something that God knew He should give to you. He knew that you could do so many great things with these talents and gifts, and He has trusted you with them to do just that.
So tap into those talents. Begin doing those things that you are good at, that you love and feel called to do, and like Emma Bombeck said, when we are standing before God, try your hardest not to have a single bit of talent left. Use every little bit of it up while you are here, that way you can tell God that you used everything that He gave you. You could make an impact, a difference, maybe you can even change the world! And all you need to do, is just embrace your talents.
