Don't Give Up

 Today, before I say anything else, I want to give you three words that I want you to remember, that I want you to write down and just embed into your daily thinking. Ready? The words are; Don't give up.  Simple, right? And you have probably heard them many time before, but I want to give them a whole different meaning today.
 So, whatever it may be for you today, a dream, a prayer, a job, something in your distant future, and anything else you might have on your heart, when we work at something for so long and try so hard, we want to see results. We want to see that our effort is actually making a difference, but when nothing does happen, and we don't see anything change, we get disappointed, we feel discouraged, and we ask ourselves why we are even still trying. But let me tell you this; God put that dream, that prayer, that want for a job, He put it in your heart, and He put it there for a reason. However, that means that it's not on our timetable. Even though it seems like it has been forever, God sees it as right on time. And who knows? Maybe today is going to be the day that you see your miracle come to pass. Your next prayer could be the one that brings that miracle, but if you quit trying, you are never going to know and you are never going to see it come to pass.
 I heard an example of this once about the Israelites circling Jericho. (Hebrews 11:30) God asked them to circle the city seven times, and that on the seventh day, they would see the walls come tumbling down. But what if they had given up on the sixth day? What if they had given up halfway around on the seventh day? Or even given up before taking their last step? They never would have been able to see what God had for them! Don't make that mistake in your life today. Keep praying, keep dreaming, keep trying, and don't give up.
