"'For I know the plans I have for you,' says the Lord, 'plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.'" Jeremiah 29:11
Maybe today, you are wondering. Wondering about what God's purpose for your life is. What is it that He created you to do? Or maybe you know what your purpose is. Maybe you know what it is that God wants you to do in your life, but maybe you just don't know how exactly you are going to get there. Well, whichever situation that you are in today, let this verse Jeremiah 29:11, be your escape.
Now, let's take this verse apart piece by piece. It starts out by saying, "'For I know the plans I have for you,' says the Lord.'" Really think about that for a second. I mean, we may not know what our future plans are, we may not know who and what God wants us to be, and even if we do, we have no idea on how to actually get there, but we don't have to worry. Let me say that again to make sure you got it; We don't have to worry. See, there is no need to fret over anything that is going to happen in our future. Why? Well, because God knows the plans that He has laid out for our lives. He knows everything that is going to happen, when it is going to happen, and how it is going to happen, and He is going to make sure that we get there! See, in the second part it says that God has "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." So even if your future today seems hopeless and impossible, know that God didn't create that dream within you just so it could hurt you when it doesn't work out later. No! But He created and placed that voice within you that is telling you what your dream is, and He is going to cause you to prosper in it, He is going to exceed your expectations, and He is going to give you hope and a future. A hope so strong and a future so amazingly bright, that you can't even imagine it. So today, I want you to rid yourself of all of that worry and stress that you had about your future, and start getting excited about what it holds.
