"The greatest miracle of all is that God looks at me, at you, in all our dirt and brokenness, and says, 'I chose you. You are beautiful.'"
Maybe today in your life, you feel as though you are stuck. Stuck in this brokenness that you have fallen into. The shattered things around you, the things you tried but failed, the obstacles that you just couldn't get past, and the discouraging thoughts that you are never going to be able to get out this. Or maybe you feel like you are filthy, clothed in your past mistakes and regrets, in everything that you have done wrong, and just the burdens that you carry around with you. But listen, wherever it is that you find yourself today, I want to remind you that everything that I just mentioned, and anything else you are facing, it does not have to have any affect at all on your life
So with all of this baggage, how to we go on? How do we continue on the journey that God has for us when we have so much weighing us down? Maybe today, you are even doubting whether God will take you in being in the condition that you are. But everything you have on your shoulders, in all of your dirt, and in all of your brokenness, God wants you to know that He is there for you. His love is like no other, His love is unconditional. Not only that, but when He looks at us, He doesn't see the person that we see when we look in the mirror. He doesn't see dirt, He doesn't see brokenness, He doesn't see failure, and He doesn't see any of the things that have happened in your past. No, but instead, He sees His beautiful creation. He sees a beautiful piece of work that He has made, that He has created to live an amazing, blessing filled, and miraculous life. He looks at you and He says, "'I chose you. You are beautiful.'" See, God chose you for a reason, and He doesn't make junk. He chose you to live this life, to enjoy al of the blessings and opportunities He has given you. He tells you that you are beautiful. You are an amazing creation, unlike any other. A creation that God sculpted. You are beautiful, and not just on the outside either, but on the inside.
So today, we need to start seeing ourselves as God sees us. Chosen, loved, and beautiful, because when we do, everything else will just fall behind us.
