Trust In His Timing

"Faith in God includes faith in His timing." Neal A. Maxwell

Maybe right now, you are either going through something and questioning why God is causing you to do so, or maybe you are asking for something; something that is really important that you just don't seem to be getting. If you are facing these problems today, let me tell you that it is so easy to get discouraged, but what you have to do, my friend, is trust, not only in God, but in His timing.
Now you see, I think that so many of us, having faith in God during these tough situations, say that our faith is strong, we pray all the time, and that we seem to have a very good relationship with God. And maybe you are one of these people today. Now, yes having a strong faith is so important, but that alone isn't going to give you answers and your prayers by themselves are not going to give you what you are asking for.
I know what you may be thinking. "So what do we do?" And you see, the answer to that is more simple than you might think. We need to, along with that faith, those prayers, and our relationship with God, trust in His timing. See, this is a hard subject for many because it involves giving up control. But we can't control our lives and expect God to take hold of them at the same time. We have to let it all go, for when we do, this shows God that we are trusting Him, and that we are not trying to control it any more.
So when it comes to His timing, when we are in a situation where we are questioning why God has put us in it, know this; that when we trust in God's timing, we have to know that He put this situation in our lives for a reason, and at some point in our lives, He has planned it as to where we are going to look back and be ever so thankful that we went through this, and we will be so much better off because of it. So just trust that He has put this situation in this place at this time for a very good reason. And when it comes to asking for something, whether it be a material thing or something that, maybe we can't see, we have to know that His will is going to be done, and if you are supposed to get what you are asking for, He will make sure that it happens at the exact time that it is supposed to.
So today, my friends, we need to let go of the control that we are attempting to have on our lives, give it all to God, and trust in His timing.
