You Know What You Want, God Knows What You Need

"I have the choice to be angry at God for what I don't have, or be thankful for what I do have."
Nick Vujicic

Maybe today, you are finding yourself mad at God. You are mad at Him for all things that He has not given you. Maybe you do not have all that you want financially, maybe you never wanted to lose that person that you were close to, or maybe you are asking God to give you something that you want so badly, but He hasn't given it to you. If any of these apply to you today, I want you to notice something; in each of these statements, each of them has the word "want" in them.
Now what does that mean, and what does it have to do with anything? Well, you see, when we are mad at God, we are usually upset with Him because is not giving us something that we "want." We want to have more money, we want that person to still be in our lives, or we want Him to bring us this or that, but have we ever thought about what God wants? Have we ever thought about what He thinks that we need?
Now, I know that all of these things can be incredibly hard, but if you tap into the mentality of asking God what He wants, if, when we are feeling low, discouraged, or even angry, we see the situation through God's eyes, it will change your entire perspective. You will see that, you may not have all the money in the world, but God is giving you this amount, He is giving you all that you need, and He wants to see how you appreciate what it is that you are given. And even though that person is not in your life anymore, look at it through God's eyes. He has a specific plan for every person, and when their time has come when they go to live with God up in heaven, than God is going to fulfill His plan, and you will see later on in the future, that He took them at that specific moment for a very good reason. And lastly, maybe you asking God for something, something that you really want, and do not get me wrong, that is truly a great thing to do, but you can't be mad at Him when it doesn't come on your schedule. But instead, see that God is following the plan for your life, and in it, you still have to wait and keep praying a little bit longer, and when the time does come, the perfect time that God has chosen, He will bring it down to you.
So today, rather than being mad at God, try to see your situations through His perspective, and be thankful for what you have.
