You Are More Than A Conqueror

"No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us." Romans 8:37

Maybe today in your life, you are facing a situation that seems practically impossible. Maybe you feel as though everything is coming at you, all at once, and you don't see it ever calming down. Or maybe you are just lost, not knowing where to go or which step to take. No matter what it is that you have going on in your life today, let me tell you, that you, my friend, are more than a conqueror.
Now you see, we tend to see ourselves as not capable, especially when it comes to overcoming a situation. We don't see how it is that the problem will work out, so we tend to get discouraged in, not only the situation, but in ourselves. Looking at how impossible this truly is. And see, the thing is, is that we aren't going to be able to overcome them and they are going to be impossible, unless that is, we begin to rest in God's promises.
Now I know what it is that you may be thinking, especially when you are going through a tough time these words are easier said than done, but that doesn't have to be true! Think of this as an example; you are standing in front of a very large mountain, one that you have to climb. All you see is the height of it, the impossibility of climbing it, and all of the ways that you are not going to be able to make it, but see right off to the side, there is someone waiting to guide you up the mountain, wanting to lead you up to the top and then down the other side. They want to take you over it in a way that is much easier than the one that you are looking at doing by yourself, but see, we are too focused on all that we can't and won't be able to do, and how difficult it is, that we fail to notice someone that is waiting to guide us through it to the other side.
See, God created us to be "more than conquerors." Notice how the verse doesn't just say conquerors, but it says "more than." So not only has God already created us to overcome this obstacle or this hardship, but He has created us to do even more than that! He has created us to use this obstacle to lift us, and others, higher! He has created us to use this challenge as a stepping stone to lead us to a future that is so amazing that we can not even imagine it! So not only are you able to conquer what it is that you are facing, but you are more than that, all through the One who loves us, and as long as we take our eyes off of the mountain and the troubles, and rest in the peace of God's promises that He gives to us.
