Stop Focusing On What You Can't Do, And Start Focusing On What God Has You To Do

"Everybody is a genius. But if you judge a fish on its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid." Albert Einstein

What if I told you today that God has created us all to be geniuses? What if I told you that, in your life, there is something that you could perform flawlessly? A talent that is yours, that belongs to you, and that God has gifted to you specifically. But you see, I think that, so many times in our lives, we focus on what it is that we don't have. We focus on the hobbies and the talents that we are without, and look at them being done in others, envious that we can't have what they do. But see, that is not how God has created us to live! He gave you and I certain talents, certain hobbies, that we are good at! That we are geniuses at! And we are not going to be able to perform them, and do so, even somewhat flawlessly considering the fact that this is what God has given us, all because we are focused on what we don't have! We are focused on what others have and, most of time, we try to get what it is that we are wanting. We try to gain that talent or that skill that that one person does oh so well. Now, don't get me wrong, we are always able to learn new things, but sometimes, God just didn't give us that talent, and He didn't grant us with the means to perform it because He knew that it wasn't right for us. So you see, if we spend all of our time working towards it so that we can have what that one person did, knowing the entire time deep down inside that this isn't a talent that God has blessed you with, we are going to get discouraged, we are going to get angry, and we are going to bring ourselves down all because we couldn't perform as we wanted to. We couldn't be as great as that person was, and from what it seems like, we never will be.
But see, what I want you to do my friend, what God wants you to do, is pray about it. Just say, "God, if this is an area that you have blessed me with, please help me and guide me to succeed, but if it isn't, lead me to where you have me to go instead." See, when we pray that prayer, we are opening ourselves up to new ideas, but are also opening ourselves up to the guidance of God's will, rather than the drive to be just like someone else. See, God has created you to be your own person, He has created you to succeed, and to thrive. God has created you to be a genius! So stop dwelling in what it is that you can't do and what others have that you don't, and start focusing on all of the amazing talents God has blessed you with, for you are going to be surprised as to where He will take you with them.

Have a marvelous day! God bless you!
