Where Is Your Hope?

"And so, Lord, where do I put my hope? My only hope is in you." Psalm 39:7

There is something that I want to ask you today. A question that I want you to genuinely think about. That question is, what if today, God came down to you and asked you the question of, "where is your hope?" How would you answer?
Now, would you say what, of course we are all wanting to say, that your hope is in God, or, if you had to be honest, would you say that it is in a situation that you are working on or towards, would you say that it is in an unanswered prayer, a job that you are wanting to get, a relationship. See, we tend to put our hope in these little things. We focus on them and we hope and pray that they come to pass or that they work out like we want them to. We hope for these things, and, don't get me wrong, this isn't necessarily a bad thing, but if you would transition that hope unto God, who knows what it is that you want, and most importantly, knows what you need.
See, when we put our hope in Him instead of in the situation in front of us, we are handing the control off to Him. We don't have worry or stress about how or if this is going to work out, because God's got it. When we put our hope in Him, we are putting our hope in whatever He has planned for our lives, rather than being constrained by the limits of these things of reality that we put our hopes in. See, when we put our full hope in God, and we take the step of proclaiming that to Him, as the prayer says above, we are putting our faith in what He has in store for us. We are handing over the control and letting Him take the reigns. And let me tell you, that when you do that, you are going to be led to places and blessed with things that you would have never thought possible. You are going to see so much more come to pass than you ever would of when your faith was in the things of this world.
So today, make that decision, and proclaim it to God, and just watch what it is that He will do in your life.
