A Challenge For You: Be Thankful In Everything.

"Give thanks in all circumstances for this is God's will for you in Jesus Christ." 1 Thessalonians 5:18

Today, I want to give you a task. I want you to do something today that, maybe could be an area that you could work on. I want you to do something that will not only begin to make you a better person and the person the God has created you to be, but it is going to transform others and the world around you.
So, what is it that I want you to do? What is this task? Well you see, it is to be thankful, and to be thankful in all circumstances. Think about those words for a minute; in all circumstances. That seems like a pretty big ask doesn't it? I mean, how are we supposed to be thankful if someone cuts us off in traffic? How are we supposed to be thankful when our workload is piling higher and higher? Well you see, we are able to do this because it is God's will for us. He wants us to be happy and He wants us to live the best life that we possibly can, and one of the steps to getting there starts with being thankful, and not just during the good times, but in every situation.
Now, this will be a challenge, do not get me wrong there. It is going to be difficult, but just think of how good you are going to feel! Think of how good it will have felt to have gone a whole day just praising God and thanking Him. And not only will you feel good, but you are going to find that you make others feel good around you. You are going to be a light that maybe these people are needing. You are going to be a smile rather than a complaint that they needed to see to bring a smile to their face. And even that's not all! But God is going to see you praising Him in every situation. He is going to see that you, rather than complaining and getting angry or frustrated, rejoiced and remained thankful. He is going to see this, and He, my friend, is going to reward you for it.
So today, if someone cuts you off in traffic, thank God that you have a car to drive and a job to go to. If your workload is heavy to bear, thank God that you have a job and that you have the strength to get it done. Do you see what I mean? If we are thankful in all of our situations, we are going to see our lives change for the better, and we are going to be blessed in new ways that we would of never even seen before. So today, go out, and be thankful in everything.
