"If we wait until we're ready, we'll be waiting for the rest of our lives." Lemony Snicket
Maybe today in your life, there is something that God is calling you to do. There is something that you feel like you should go after, but you don't because you're not ready. You aren't in the mental state, you aren't strong enough, you're not smart enough. But my friend, "If we wait until we're ready, we'll be waiting for the rest of our lives."
Now, I know that it can be hard, for we feel like we aren't ready. We tell God that, maybe next month when I'm more financially stable, or maybe next year when I'm a little bit older. But listen, what we aren't understanding here is that God didn't put this voice within us tomorrow, He didn't keep it in until next year. No, but He gave it to you now, and that is when He is wanting you to begin going after whatever it is that you feel called to, whether you feel ready or not.
Think about it this way; if God has put this calling within you now, then He has equipped you with exactly what it is that you need to go after it. See, the problem with us is that we look ahead. We look at what going after this would bring and what we would need to bring to it, and when we realize that we don't have those things that we need, we get discouraged and decide to wait until we do. But see, that is in the future! You have to look at the now! See, God blesses you with what you need each day, and that is the time period that He guides you in, one day at a time. So whatever it is that you feel called to, begin to go after it, for God has given you everything that you need for today's part of the journey. You have to trust that if He brings you to it, than He is definitely going to bring you through it, giving you everything that you could possibly need along the way.
So today, stop waiting until you feel like you're ready, for if you do, you are never going to be. Take hope in the fact that, since God has brought you to this place, that He has already given you everything that you need for today's journey, and will continue to do so every day along the way.
