"If the whole world was blind how many people would you impress?" Boonaa Mohammed
Today, I want you to take a look at yourself with this question in mind. How, instead of showing others what you can do or what you look like, are you making others feel? And, as the questions says, how impressed would they be with you if they couldn't see you?
Now, in this world today I think that so many try to impress others by their looks, their hair, and by how they are dressed along with what it is that they can do. They show this ability and that one, hoping to impress the person watching. But see, God wants us to do so much more than that! He didn't create us to leave an impression on others from how we are dressed or by what we can do. No! But instead, He wants us to leave an impression on others by what we say and by how we make those people feel.
But see, this is a way of impression that is often forgotten amidst all of the hustle and bustle of what our society considers to be impressive, and don't get me wrong, we should care about how we look and we should want to share our talents with others, but what if those people couldn't see you? What if they were completely blind? Then what would be the impression that you left on them?
We need to make it a goal in our lives to never forget that God has not designed us to only try to impress others with these earthly things, but He also wants us to impress them with the God-like heart that He has given us! God has designed us to love and love unconditionally. He has designed to take care of others and encourage them, in ways that they would be able to feel, even if they couldn't see you.
So today, what will you do to leave an impression on someone in a way that is not visible to the naked eye? How are you going to make them feel that they won't soon forget? Today, I encourage you to go out in the world with this new perspective, and just watch the great things that will happen.
