"Love people for who they are instead of judging them for who they are not." Unknown
In our lives, I think that, when we come across someone who does something that we don't agree with, they have a tendency that irks us, or "they are just too..." fill in the blank; when we see these people or go to talk to them, we then turn around and judge them for those things, where instead, we should be loving them.
Now, I know that we are human, and in the society that we live in today, judging is just kind of an accepted character trait. But what we don't realize is that judging does nothing positive for either us or the person we are talking about, absolutely nothing. Judging someone does not give glory to God or allow others to see God through you, no, but judging does nothing positive in your life at all.
I want you to think about how Jesus lived. He has thieves, lawbreakers, and sinner after sinner laid before Him, and if this would happen with us now, we may not judge them to their face, but we would go home and talk about how disgusting she was, how you can't believe that they would actually do that, or how they deserve whatever punishment they get, but see, Jesus didn't see any of those things, but He forgave them if they had done something wrong, and then showed them love. He didn't judge them or scold them for what they weren't doing, but He showed them the unconditional love that He is counting on us to show others.
Think about it this way; we all have struggles, we have things that we deal with or sins that we fall into, so if someone knew about these things, or if someone does, would you want them judging you like you are judging others, or would you want them to love you unconditionally as Jesus is wanting us to do?
The choice is now yours, my friend. You can decide which path you are going to take next time you meet someone who maybe you don't approve of, who does too much of this or that, or whose lifestyle you don't agree with, and I encourage you to make that choice today.
Amen...
