Start Living In The Moment, For That Is Where The Future Is

"The best thing about the future is that it comes only one day at a time." Abraham Lincoln

I think that, as humans, we like to know what is happening in our lives and what is going to happen in the future. We want to know how we are going to be able to react to it, how we are going to prepare and plan for it, and map out all the possibilities that this could lead us to. But my friend, I have said this before and I will say it again; in God's big plan for your life, your plans mean nothing.
Now, another thing that we, as humans, tend to do, is look into the future. Granted, we aren't seeing exactly what it is that God has for us, but we are seeing the dreams, the hopes, and the goals that he has placed within us. We are seeing what we are only dreaming of being fulfilled, but we get stressed out when we come to the determination that we have no idea whatsoever on how to get there. We don't know exactly where it is that God will want us to go and that worries us! That fills us with this anxiousness of walking into the unknown, planning out all of the possibilities that could happen in our minds. But listen, my friend, if this is where you are finding yourself today, I just want you to stop and take a deep breath, knowing that you don't have to know any of these things, and knowing that, as Abraham Lincoln so wisely once said, "the best thing about the future is that it comes only one day at a time." This statement couldn't be more true! So often we are so caught up in whatever it is that lies ahead that we are forgetting to live in this moment that God has given us. But see, we are honestly missing out on the future and the opportunities that it holds if we are so caught up in what lies ahead because, let me tell you, the future is happening right now. It is coming in each and every moment, under your feet. There are opportunities and chances that are able to move you higher if you would stop focusing on all of the unknowns that lie ahead of you and begin to live in each day, for, once again, "the future comes one day at a time."
So today, start living in the moment, for that is where the future is. Let the stress of the unknown come off your shoulders and just trust that God's got it in His hands, He is going to take care of you, and He is going to lead you to where He has you to be, one day at a time.
