The Lord Will Fight For You

"The Lord will fight for you, you need only be still." Exodus 14:14

 I think that everyone can agree that, at times, our lives can get quite stressful. Whether this may be at home, at school, or in the workplace, we all have those moments where we feel that there are a million things coming at us at once and that we can't fight them off fast enough. But in those moments, there is something that we tend to forget; something that we fail to realize. See, what we so often forget during these times of stress is that we can't fight them off, we can't handle them, and most importantly, we don't have to.
 See, in Exodus 14:14, God promises us that He is going to fight for us, and He does this because He knows we aren't able to handle it on our own. And just think about that a moment. Our Heavenly Father, the Father, the Spirit, and the Son, the one who has defeated death itself, is fighting for us. For you. So when we face these stressful situations and when we seem to be failing to fight them off, we need to know that we don't have to. We just need to be still, showing God that we admit that we can't do this and ask Him to come in and take over. That, my friend, is when you will find true peace. That is when you will feel all of the weight of all of that stress lifted off of your shoulder by the One who loves you enough to fight these battles for you.
 Rest in this today, and find the peace that you are designed to live in.
