A Seed In The Darkness Of The Dirt

"Out of difficulties grow miracles." Jean de la Bruyere

Think of a seed, when it is planted, it is covered completely by dirt, right? Well think of how dark it must be for that little seed. Maybe you feel that way today, totally trapped in darkness. Maybe you feel like there is no way you will ever get out, and if you do, what could this dark situation possibly do that is beneficial for you? Well let me turn your attention back to the seed, even though it is surrounded by that dirt, or darkness, what is that still makes it grow? It is light and the water, of which Christ is referred to as both the light of the world and living water. So no matter how dark it is where that little seed is, the light and the water are still nourishing it and helping it grow, and as long as that little seed keeps relying on those two things, eventually, when it grows, it will burst out of that dirt, not as the seed it was before, but a beautiful flower.
Think about that, you are that little seed, the dirt is the darkness that you are stuck in today, and that flower is the miracle that will come out of it! We just need to, just like that little seed did, rely on the light of the world and the living water and know that we will be taken care of. When we do this, no matter how dark it is where you are, when you finally break through the surface, you will see new miracles begin to bloom right in front of your eyes.
So today, no matter how dark your dirt might be, be like that little seed, trust and rely on the light and the water, and not only will you grow, but you will see miracles break through the dirt as well.
