Ride Into Tomorrow And Let Go Of The Brake.

"Every tomorrow has two handles. We can take hold of it with the handle of anxiety or the handle of faith." Henry Ward Beecher

Tomorrow is packed full of unknown circumstances. That can be kind of scary, not knowing what the future holds for you. But, the problem that some people have is that they see that tomorrow is unknown, so they then get filled with anxiety about what will happen, what won't happen, and all of the "what ifs" that come along with it, so they aren't going to get anywhere with that fear because they are afraid of moving ahead. Instead, we need to look at the unknown with trust in the one who is holding our future. We need to know that God has got it all planned out for us, so we don't need to worry! Let me illustrate this idea a little more. Going into tomorrow is like a bike ride. If you pedal while squeezing the handles but also holding down the brake, even though you are moving your feet you are not going to get anywhere. But you are afraid to let go of that brake because you don;t know what will happen. On the other hand, if you hold on to the handles very tightly, without holding onto the brake, this will give you support and something sturdy to hold on to and, as you pedal, you are going to head into tomorrow on a positive note, knowing that you are safe.
Don't hold down the brake today. Send your fears up to God and ride right into tomorrow, knowing that all of the unknowns ahead of you are already taken care of.
