We Ask God For What We Want, Why Aren't We Getting It?

 Maybe today you are praying for something that you really feel like you want, or maybe you have in the past and God didn't give you what you were asking for. Since then, maybe you are frustrated or maybe you are questioning your faith. If either of these applies to you, know this. God isn't going to give you everything that you ask Him for. I know that we wish it could work that way, but that is not how God works. You have to know that when you ask God for something He already knows how it is going to affect you. As it says in the quote above from Max Lucado, "Faith is not the belief that God will do what you want. It is the belief that God will do was is right." So even if you are feeling like you really want something today, if God says no, you have to listen to Him, or if your prayer doesn't get answered, that just means that it was not meant to be and know that God is trying to protect you from something that you can't see. You just have to trust that if it is not supposed to happen, He will not let it happen, but if it is, He will let it come to pass in your life.
