What Does God Promise Us? A Post Based Off Of Isaiah 41:10

"So do not fear, for I am with you;do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand." Isaiah 41:10

Maybe you are afraid today, afraid of an obstacle that you are facing, afraid of your current situation, or afraid of what your future holds. Or maybe you are dismayed, feeling distressed and not knowing where to go or what to do. Or maybe you are feeling alone, asking yourself the question, "Is there really someone out there who cares for me and wants to help me?" Well, my friend, no matter what you are afraid of, no matter how dismayed or lost you are, there is someone out there who cares for you. God says in the verse above, "I am your God." Continuing on with this verse, God shows us a few other promises that He has for us. He tells us that we should not be afraid. But why shouldn't we be afraid? He says, "Do not be afraid, for I am with you." You don't have to be scared, you don't have to worry, because God is right there next to you, and no matter what you go through, He will go through it with you. He also tells us not to be dismayed, and why shouldn't we be dismayed? We shouldn't be dismayed, because He is our God. He is not going to let us face an obstacle that we cannot overcome or a valley that He will not lift us out of. Then He says that He will give you strength, when you are feeling tired and weak God is going to strengthen you and get you back on your feet. He is also going to help us. Help us through obstacles, help us overcome, help us pursue the path that He has placed in front of us. But then it says, "I will uphold you with my righteous right hand." What does this mean exactly? Well, in the Bible, the right hand of God symbolizes His power and His strength. Notice, He is not saying that He will uphold you if you are perfect, or He will only uphold you if your problems aren't too bad. No, He is saying that He will hold you up based on His power, not anything that you are doing. So today go out, and no matter what you are facing or no matter how you are feeling, remember these promises that God has for you.
