He Is Our Umbrella In The Storm

"The Lord is good, a strength and stronghold in the day of trouble; He knows those who take refuge and trust in Him." Nahum 1:7

Maybe today, you are in the midst of a storm. It feels as though your troubles are raining down on top of you and you have know shelter. The lightning is striking and the thunder is rolling and you just don't know what to do or where to go.
But let me tell you something. You do, in fact, have shelter from that storm you are in right now. You have an umbrella that covers you, and that umbrella's name is God. Whenever we are in the midst of a storm though, it is pretty hectic. You find it hard to focus on one thing because so much is going on around you. But when you focus, when you really try hard to focus on the trust that you have in God, He will be your shelter and your strength. He will keep you dry from the storm, and when you are tired and worn down from it, and feel like you can't go on, God will be your strength.
Now, don't have the mindset where you are thinking. "Oh, this isn't good. I have to be perfect for God. I have to stand this storm out to show Him how tough I am." No. When Nahum 1:7 says, "He knows those who take refuge and trust in Him," it is telling us that He recognizes, He knows, and He stands for the ones who run into His arms. He is waiting to give you the shelter you are looking for, you just have to be willing to take it.
