"Arise, for it is your task, and we are with you; Be strong and do it." Ezra 10:4
Maybe today, you are in the midst of something that God has called you to. Whether that be a mission that you have, a place in your life where you are, or a dream or wish that you are trying to fulfill. Whatever the situation may be, I really want to use this verse today to give you some encouragement for your journey.
First of all, as the the verse above tells us, we need to rise up, or arise. Now what does this mean exactly? Well, God is basically telling us that, when presented with this challenge, with this mission, with this dream, we need to rise up and take it. Stand up with confidence knowing that God has a reason for giving this to you, and that reason must be a great one. It then goes on to say that "this is your task." Let me say that again, "this is YOUR task." God hasn't placed this dream in anybody else because He knew that you were the one who could fulfill it. He knew that you were the one who would not only go out and help others, but that this would also help you. It then goes on to say that God is with us. That is one thing that we really need to remember when being called by God to do something. That even though it may seem a little rough at times, even though things may seem a little out of control, God is with us. If He called you to do something He is not just going to leave you hanging. No! He is going to walk through the whole journey right next to you. Lastly, the verse tells us to "be strong and do it." Be strong, take up courage and tap into the strength that God has for us, refer back to Philippians 4:13, "I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength." Know that, through Him, you, my friend can do anything with the help of God. So today, rise up, God gave you this task, and He is with you. Find your strength in Him, and go out and do it.
