You Are Made New!

"Therefore, if any man is in Christ, he is a new creation. Old things have passed away; Look, new things have come!" Corinthians 5:17

We have all made mistakes in the past. We have messed up, done something we know we shouldn't have, said the wrong thing, or done the wrong thing. It happens to all of us. But, maybe all of these things are weighing on your shoulders today, you are dragging them around everywhere you go, and honestly, they are beginning to exhaust you. What do we do in a situation like this? How can we rid ourselves of all of these burdens we are carrying around? Surly God can't take me in now that have all of this baggage with me. If you are feeling this way today, I pray that you would find what you need in this post today.
So in your daily life, carrying all of those burdens around is a struggle, isn't it? And with all of this baggage, how am I supposed to go to God? Would He really take me in like this?  Let me tell you this today, if you have burdens, hurts, grudges, or pain riding on your shoulders today, God is asking you to lay them down at His feet. He is saying, "you know what? I don't care what you have weighing upon you. I don't care what you've done in your past. Come to me and given me your burdens, I will lift them off of your shoulders." You see, I think that we reprimand ourselves for doing something in our past far more than God ever would. We see it and hold on to it. Thinking that we are so bad, how could we have done that, what do we do with it? We walk around full of regret. Whereas God sees it, and He says, "I forgive you," and He moves on. He doesn't care! If He doesn't keep regretting what happened in our past, than neither should we.
You see, as the verse says above, that you are made new. Give your burdens to God and today, all those things that were on your shoulders will be gone. Not only that, but new and amazing things are coming your way! So today, go out and be made new through the love that God has given you.
