Worrying Does Nothing

"Worrying does not empty tomorrow of its troubles. It empties today of its strength."
Corrie Ten Boom

Storms and troubles in our life come and go, that is inevitable. But, are we stuck worrying about if troubles are going to come? Are we worrying about the obstacles that might come up that we will have to face? Or maybe today, you are just worrying about what your future holds, what tomorrow is going to be like, and what the unknown road in front of you has in store.
But, in the midst of all of your worrying, I want you to ask yourself a question. I want you to say to yourself today, "what is worrying doing for me?" Now, people always tell you that worrying isn't good, it doesn't do anything, it just makes you stressed out. But does it actually do anything for you? Those people are right. No. It literally does nothing good for your mind, your soul, or even your body. In fact, it does just the opposite. Like the quote above says, worrying doesn't just make tomorrow's problems disappear. It doesn't change the way that your future will go. The only thing it does is it empties today of the strength that you have. Worrying sucks the strength, sucks the life, and sucks the joy right out of you, and when you are worrying about something that has not even happened yet, you rid yourself of those things that you could be enjoying today! Just trust that God has the future in His hand. He has every step you take, every breath you take, He has it all planned out for you. So don't worry! Just stay in the moment and enjoy that gifts that God has blessed you with today.
