A New Game Of Follow The Leader

""Come, follow me."  Matthew 4:19a

 Think about when we were little. Chances are you played the game follow the leader at least once. Where one person leads you around and you have to go everyone they go and do everything they do. Now, you may have thought that you have grown out of this game, but the truth is, is that you are still being invited to play it.
 Now I know that you are probably wondering where I am going with this. Well, think about it this way, God is inviting us to play that game of follow the leader. He is asking us to come play with Him, where He would be the leader, and we would follow Him, and once you choose to accept the invitation, the game begins. Now, remember the rules that I went over of the game? Well the same rules hold true when God has invited us to follow Him, if we choose to accept, we will have to follow Him through all of the things that He takes us through. Through the valleys, over the obstacles, and even have to endure a few storms. But you know what is so great about the game of follow the leader? You see that the leader goes ahead of you and crosses whatever obstacle that comes your way, and then you go and cross it yourself. Well our "leader" in this game is doing just that. He is going before us, going to make sure that the way is safe and that we will be able to get past it. Now, some of the obstacles may be harder to get past then others, but since our "leader" went in front of and made sure that we could get past it, we need to know that He wouldn't bring us to something that we couldn't handle. He knows we can, as long as we know that He is there to help us through it.
 So today, no matter what age you may be, accept that invitation and keep playing that game of follow the leader, keep going along the path, get over the obstacles, and keep following your "leader."
