"The Lord replied, "I will personally go with you... and I will give you rest - everything will be fine for you." Exodus 33:14
I truly love this verse here because, when you read it, the Lord is speaking directly to you. He is reassuring you and He is telling you that He is going to go with YOU, He is going to give YOU rest, and everything will be fine for YOU. This promise He makes, the words that He has spoken, they are aimed towards you. But the question that holds us back today from this protection and this love is, "how do I find this? And how do I know that it is even there?" Well, I want to answer that question for you today...
Right it Exodus 33:14, the Lord, our God, promises that He himself, will personally go with us. But how can we know this and how can we believe that He is actually there? This is a question that a lot of people have, but what you need to do is trust that He is there, look around and see the situation around you, and notice that this situation, it can do no harm to you, you may get knocked down a few times or so, but you will always be lifted back up again. And who is the one who picks you back up? Who is the one that protects you so that this situation can not harm you? That is God. That is Him wrapping His arms around you and protecting you, that is Him lifting you back up again when you get knocked down, He is right there holding your hand the entire time that you are walking along your journey, and just by looking around and seeing that the situation that you are facing is smaller than you are, that is God's strength coming from within you.
But how do we find this? Well what you need to do is find this protection and love is two simple things, look up to the heavens, and say, "God, I trust that you will lead me along the right path for my life. I trust that you will be my strength and my shield, and that I can do all things through you." When you do this, you will see God show up in so many new ways and, as He fulfills all of His promises, you will really begin to know and find assurance in the fact that He is, in fact, there.
