"Without the rain there would be no rainbow." Gilbert Chesterton
Maybe today you are going through a storm in your life.. A time when the rain, also known as your troubles, worries, and pains, is just pouring down on you. Maybe you feel like there is so much being blown around you that you can't even see straight. Well, despite the storm that you are in, I want you to remember that, to see a rainbow you have to endure the rain.
Yes, I know what you might be asking, "how am I supposed to endure the rain when, through it all, I keep getting knocked down and everything is crazy around me?" Well, yes, I do know that right now, your life is hectic, you are in the midst of a big storm and the last thing you want to think about is enduring it any longer, but let me tell you, that we have a shelter to this storm. A shelter that will keep us safe from the storm, protect us from the "rain" and the "winds." This shelter, is God.
You see, the storm will still be going on around us, but in His shelter, in His arms, we are protected, We are reassured that everything is going to be okay. This storm may be bigger than us, it may be able to knock us down and weaken us, but this storm is not bigger than our God. He will take this situation in the palm of His hand and make sure that it turns out the way that He plans, and not only that, but in His shelter, He will strengthen you, He will give you all the tools that you need to endure this storm, because when you do, that is when the rainbow is going to shine. That is when you are truly going to see the glory of God's goodness shine through.
So, what you need to do today, is in the midst of your storm, run to the shelter that is waiting for you.
