Live Your Life Blessed, Not Stressed

"For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal."
2 Corinthians 4:17

I want to start off by asking you a question today, and that question is; what is stressing you out? I bet that I might be able to guess what at least one of your answers might be. Money, your job, family problems and conflict, your car broke down, the list could go on and on, and whatever it is on that list that is stressing you out today, I want to try to convince you not be, because all of the things that we are stressed about right now, are only just temporary.
Now you see, all of the things that we let stress us out, they are temporary things, they are not going to be there forever, and you can't take them with you. So why are we letting them stress us out? We know that they are temporary, we know that they won't always be stressful, so why are we still going around with a bad attitude, with a conflicted mind, and an overwhelmed soul? I really think the answer to that question is that we are too consumed with the "things" of this earth. Sure they were placed here for us to enjoy, God gave them to us so that we could use them for the greater good, but we are defeating the purpose of that if we are constantly letting them stress us out. You see, if we would just focus on the blessing of the things that we have in this world, and not let them stress us out, using the knowledge of knowing that these things are only temporary, and the things that are, in fact, eternal, are the things that are unseen, then we will really see that he one who created us, the one who created the world we are living in, has blessed us with the gift of this life that we have.
God didn't grant you with the gift of this life so you could live it stressed, worried and concerned about all of the temporary things that consume us, but He granted us the gift of this life so you could live it blessed, knowing that the things of this world are temporary, and the things that are unseen, are eternal.
