"The Lord has done great things for us, and we are filled with joy." Psalm 126:3
Maybe today, you fixing your sight on the picture of your problems. You are looking at your difficulties, thinking about how hard they will be to overcome, and that you won't have the strength to do so. This, my friend, is your spirit of fear and worry creeping in. That spirit that pushes the joy back down so that this is all that we have on our minds. Well, let me tell you that God has given you a spirit of joy, and when that fear or worry creeps in, there is one thing that we must do to stop it.
You see, so many people find it too hard when their spirit of fear and worry creeps in to pull their spirit of joy back up. They don't know how to replace the bad with the good, so they just stop trying, and before they know it, their life is being fearfully run by their worry. But the way that we can get that joy back, the way that we can push that fear and worry down is by looking at and enjoying all of the great things that God has given to you. Take a deep breath, God gave you that air. Smell the flowers, God made those. Appreciate where you are, God has brought you here. And appreciate what you have, because God has given you all that you need. The list could go on and on about all of the great things that God has done for you, and when we look at this list, when we meditate on it and thank God for all of the things on it, you will be so filled with joy that your fear and your worry will have no where to go but out.
