"When one door closes, another opens. But we often look so regretfully upon the closed door that we don't see the one that has opened for us." Helen Keller
Maybe in your life today, you are facing a door that God has closed. Maybe you are unsure of why He closed it, and maybe you are even mad or upset with God for doing so. But let me ask you this; are you too busy looking at that closed door to see any of the new doors that God is opening for you?
"But it was such a great opportunity, it seemed to be going well. I just don't understand." Is that what you are saying to yourself about that closed door you are facing? Well, let me tell you this, that even though you may not understand why God has shut that door, He does, and He has a very good reason. You see, He can see so many things that you can't, He has your future mapped out for you and that door that He has closed is not in that plan. But listen here, as Helen Keller said, if you are too busy looking at that closed door, mourning over it and feeling bad that God has shut it, than you are not going to see any of the new doors that God is opening! You are just going to be staring at a past opportunity that is now closed, rather than turning around and seeing all of the other opportunities that God has waiting for you.
"But I just don't understand how those doors could be better than this one that He has closed." Is that what you are thinking today? If so, remember this; that God is never going to have you settle for something less than His greatest. And His greatest, well, it is honestly so great that we aren't even able to comprehend it.
So today, rather than mourning over that door that God has closed, thank Him for closing it, and walk into the new opportunities that He has for you.
