The World Needs You

"Christlike love is the greatest need we have on this planet." Jeffrey R. Holland

"What can I do?" A question that we have all asked many times in our life. But have you ever asked God that question? Maybe today you are wondering what He wants you to do in the world. You are wondering what you could do for Him, but are disappointed when you don't get any genius ideas or big giant plans. But God doesn't need you to do those things right now. However, there is one thing that He does need you to do, and that is to love.
You see, if today you are searching so incredibly hard to find what it is that God needs you to do, you are praying, you are searching, you are trying all different things, you just need to stop for a second. Now, are you listening? Are you listening for those answers that you are praying to hear? And did you ever think that maybe you are searching so hard that you are missing what is right in front of you? Granted, it might not be the big plan you were hoping for, it might not be this genius idea that all of a sudden comes to you, but maybe it's a word. Just one single word that God is giving you. "Well what am I supposed to do with one word? What difference am I able to make with that?" Well, with this word, you will be surprised by the powers that it actually holds. This word, is love.
As Jeffrey Holland said above, showing God's love is the greatest need in our world today. What today's society needs, not necessarily wants, but needs, is God's love. And we, as His children, can go out and show it! Now, to do this, you don't even have to say much to a person. You can just show them God's love by smiling at them, by opening a door for them, by saying "hello," or maybe just wishing them a good day, these people will see that there is something about you that, maybe they don't have, and they will begin to search, and eventually find, what it is that they needed.
So you see, the world needs you today. The world needs you to go out and be God's light in a sometimes dark world. To treat others with the love that God sent His son to die for. Go out in the world today, and make the world a brighter place.
