"I am not afraid of storms for I am learning how to sail my ship." Louisa May Alcott
I think this quote has the power to have such a big impact on us because it really opens the door to show us that, during a storm, we are not going to be able to "sail our ship" the right way right off the bat. No, but as Louisa May Alcott said, we are going have to learn how.
Now you see, I think that sometimes we get so frustrated because, during a storm, we know that we are supposed to control our ship on the rocky waters. We are supposed to know how to sail it, but when we don't, that is when we get frustrated. We feel lost, we don't know where to go, and we don't know what to do. If you are finding yourself in this situation today, there is one thing that you can do. You can learn. You see, there are going to be times when our boat gets knocked over by the waves, but we have the best rescuer that you could ever ask for. We have God who is going to jump into the water and save us, He is going to bring us back to shore, and until next time, if you listen, He is going to be teaching you how to sail that boat. He is going to teach you how to use the tools that He has given you, and yes, it is going to take a while and you are going to get knocked down a few times, but each time God is still going to come to your rescue. Each time He is going to bring you back to shore, So don't be afraid of the storms, because God will be teaching, leading, and guiding you through them, so that one day, when you get in that boat and a storm comes along, you will be able to ride it out perfectly.
