Lose Your Mountain Thinking, And Start Using Your Heavenly Thinking

"I lift my eyes to the mountains - where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth." Psalm 121:1-2

I love the visual that this verse offers up for us to picture in our minds. I mean, just take a moment and picture this. Picture looking up at a mountain, a big, tall mountain off in the distance, it's the tallest thing that you can see. Now let me ask you, does your help come from there? No, but go back to that picture, and look above that mountain, look as high as you possibly can, see up there, way past where you are even seeing? That is where your help comes from. And guess what? The One that your help does come from, He created that sky you are looking at, He created the ground you are standing on, and He created that mountain that you were looking at.
So how does this apply to our lives? Well you see, that mountain that I had you picture represents what our view is a lot of the time on what God can do for us. You see, so often we only think of the possibilities that look right to us here on earth. We use logic and come up with the answer that makes the most sense. But those are mountain thoughts that you are thinking. You have to start planning for the unexpected, start dropping the logic and picking up your faith, start trusting that, even though the answers don't make sense, that God is a supernatural God, and He doesn't have to make sense. He can work way beyond that mountain thinking, as long as you would change you focus and start to have heavenly thinking. A type of thinking that goes way beyond the highest mountain, higher than you can ever see. And when you allow God to have that type of freedom to do such amazingly big things in your life, let me tell you that you are going to be so incredibly surprised as to what He can, and will, do.
