"Love each other as I have loved you." John 15:12
I want you to stop a minute to think about how much God loves you. Think of how much that He has given you, your home, your job, your family, every blessing in your life, the strength to overcome any obstacle, and even His Son. There is an incredible amount of love in all of those things that He has given, isn't there? So the question is, what can we do for Him?
Well, you might not realize this, but there is one thing in the Bible that God reminds us over and over again to do. He reminds us to love others, and that is all He asking us to do to pay Him back for what He has done. He is asking us to "love others as He loves us." That's a lot of love, isn't it? In fact, there's a name for the kind of love that God is expecting us to have towards each other, and that is unconditional. You see, God doesn't want us to go around with a harsh and judgmental spirit. He doesn't want us to shut ourselves off from every person who has done us wrong, but He is asking us to love how He loves. And that is with a loving and kind spirit, with a heart that is quick to forgive, and with that unconditional love that He shows us each and every day. We make mistakes, we mess up, and we do things that we aren't supposed to, but God forgives us, forgets about it, and loves us. That is how we need to be! If we are wanting a way to pay God back for all that He has done, this is it! We need to go out and show others that love that God shows us every single day.
AMEN..
