"As rough and tough as the world is, don't forget to see the beauty in the simple things." Unknown
With everything that goes on in the world each and every day, whether that be news stories, our jobs, school, or just life in general, sometimes life can seem kind of rough. But in the midst of all of this, we try to stay thankful. We remind ourselves that we are thankful for our homes, our families, that we have a job, and that is great to do! Don't get me wrong. But you a missing out on some of God's most beautiful creations. You are forgetting to see the beauty in the simple things.
See, the reason that we aren't seeing the beauty in the simple things is because we are too distracted by all of the rough and tough things going on in the world. Now, amidst this negativity, we say that we are thankful for the things that are right in front of us. We are thankful for the big things that we see each and every day. But that is not all there is to it! To eliminate that darkness, to diminish that negativity in our lives, fill your mind with things that you are thankful for, and a lot of these things are the simple things that you are missing. So what are some of the simple things? Well where do I start? The flowers that God has created, the details of the leaves on the trees, the shapes of the clouds in the sky, the beautiful sun, the color of the sky, the list could go on and on. But you see, God didn't create these things so that you could only be thankful for the big things right in front of you and fill the rest of the space with negativity! He created these simple things so you would take time to stop and notice them, so that you would begin to be thankful for all the blessings, big and small, that He has created, He created these things so that you could fill your mind with things that you are thankful for rather than the negativity of the world.
So go out today and notice the beauty of things that you may have never noticed before, and you will be surprised as to how much this new perspective can change your life.
AMEN...
