Praise Him For The Unanswered Prayers

"I have lived to thank God that all my prayers have not been answered." Jean Ingelow

Maybe today, you are finding yourself in a position where you aren't seeing a prayer answered. Maybe you are even hearing God tell you no. Why would He do this? If He can really do all things, why isn't He answering the prayer I am asking? Why is He telling me no?
Well you see, these situations can be frustrating, they can be discouraging, and even maddening, but what I want to tell you today is this; God can answer your prayers, He is fully capable of doing so. But maybe He is choosing not to, and that is why He is telling you no. You see, God isn't answering your prayers for a reason. He has it all planned out already, and even though you think that your prayers should be a part of that plan, God didn't put them in there for a reason.
So do you know what we need to do? Instead of getting mad at God, instead of getting frustrated and fed up with Him, we need to thank Him. No, more than that. We need to praise Him! We need to be thankful for all the things He says no to because, by saying no, God is protecting us from less than the best. He knows that whatever it is that you are praying for is not going to result or cause the blessing filled life that He wants for you, and we should praise Him for doing so!
I like to think of it like, one day, when we are up in heaven looking back on our lives, we are going to be so happy and so thankful that God didn't answer those prayers. We are going to see that it would not have turned out like we thought it would have. So today, know that God knows better than you, and if He says no, and if He doesn't answer your prayers, it's for a reason far greater than you could have thought of.
