"Meet your fears with faith." Max Lucado
Are you afraid today? Do you have fear in your heart? Fear of something going on in your life, fear about your future, or anything else that might be going on? See, being afraid is thinking about the worst that could happen. It is not knowing what the future holds, not knowing where this situation in your life is going to end up, and letting these thoughts consume your mind. But let me tell you, that we have a weapon that we can use against this fear. A weapon that can eliminate it altogether. But the thing is, is that you have to pick it up and fight.
So you see, this weapon, it is not visible, it is not an actual object that you need to pick up and use, but the weapon that you always have and always will have access to, is your faith. Now, I know what you are thinking, "What could my faith do and how could I possible use it as a weapon?" I mean, yes, we use our faith in situations where you would expect to, such as worry, times of trouble, etc. But against fear, see, faith is the most powerful thing. Why? Well, because fear is not knowing what the future holds, fear is thinking of the worst situation that could happen, fear is worrying that this situation just might not turn out, but with faith, we can overcome all of those things. If we pick up our faith, we can say, I don't know what my future holds, but my great God holds my future. We can say that I know God is going to take this situation and cause it to benefit me. We can say that this situation is not only going to turn out better than we expect, but it is going to bless us beyond belief. Now, I am not saying this is going to be easy. It is going to take some courage to stand up against our fear, but just know this, that with faith as your weapon and with God as your army, fear should be afraid of you.
So today I want you to take up your faith, and go out and face your fear with it. Because with that power, with that confidence and belief, you, my friend, are able to overcome it.
AMEN..
