"Why not go out on a limb? That's where all the fruit is." Mark Twain
Are you a risk taker? Or are you the type of person to just sit on the sidelines and let it all play out? Do you actually get on on the field to play, or do you just sit in the bleachers to cheer? See, now whatever your answer might be, in our faith, God is asking us to be those risk takers.
See, now why would we have to take a risk when it comes to our faith? Why would God ask us to do that? Well, think about it. What if our miracle, our dream come true, our divine purpose is right over there, just out of reach? We are going to have to take a risk to reach it. Maybe you think that you'll fall, maybe you feel like you won't be able to make it. But oh, my friend, what if you do make it?
Think about it this way, as the quote says above; We need to go out on a limb, the limb being that thin and somewhat weaker part of the branch, but did you know that the limb is where all the fruit grows? So, if you are wanting that fruit, you are going to have to go out on that limb, and that is how some points in our faith are. You have to be willing to take a risk and go out on that limb if you really want to experience the fruit that God has for you.
So what is your fruit? And are you willing to take a risk for it? See, when it comes to this idea, so many people wonder "What if I fall?" Of course, not literally, but what if you take a risk and it doesn't work out? What if you fall and it puts you in a challenging place? Listen, if God wants us to have that "fruit." If it is His plan, then He is going to make it happen to where you aren't going to fall, and even if you do, He is going to lift you right back up again to where you were.
But today, we have to be willing to take a risk, because if we don't, we are never going to experience the amazing things that God has waiting for us out on the limb of that branch.
