"Be yourself; Everyone else is taken." Oscar Wilde
Maybe today, you are feeling like you are not enough, like you don't fit in, or like the people around you, don't really like who you are or who you are trying to become in your life. If this is you today, then I want to tell you something. I want to bring you some good news. I want you to know that, what you need to do is be yourself.
Now, being yourself can sometimes be harder than we would at first imagine. I mean, there is always going to be opposition to who we are. There are always going to be people who don't like who we are, who don't like where we are going, or who tell us that we need to change. But listen, that is just a voice, a small voice, trying to knock you down. And you need to listen to the only voice that truly matters. The one big voice that is saying the totally opposite.
Now, when it comes to feeling like we're not enough, feeling like we don't fit in, let me tell you this, that if you were supposed to fit in with that crowd, if you were supposed to have that hair, those clothes, or that personality, God would have given it to you. And when you are feeling like you are not enough, remember that, the one who created you, the one who also created all of the heavens and the earth, He made you just as you are supposed to be, and you are enough.
See, God created us just as we are, now I'm not saying there's not room to change, but when God looks at you, He is proud. He sees a beautiful creation and He smiles. So we need to start seeing ourselves like that. We need to not only look, but think about ourselves as God's beautiful creation! We need to remind ourselves that God made us this way for an amazing reason, that we are His, and that whatever we do and whoever we are, it is all part of His plan, His wonderful, glorious plan.
THANKS VERY MUCH FOR THE REMINDER, ENCOURAGEMENT, AND INSPIRATION.
ReplyDeleteLovely reminder...Sometimes we are too busy to notice that we are wonderfully created and that our Father loves us, as we are, because He made us as He saw fit...We only truly see ourselves from inside outwards, while the world only sees us from the outside. Our loving Father see's the whole person...Inside and Outside...and He loves us just the same...Amazing Love...
