"Blessed are they who see beautiful things in humble places where other people see nothing."
Camille Pissarro
I want to start of by asking you a question today; In your life, are you are person that sees all of the beautiful things that everyone misses? Or are you the person that misses them? Don't feel bad, neither of the answers is right or wrong, but today, I really just want to get you thinking.
Life is busy, and I totally get that, whether we have jobs, school, or just all around life keeping us on our toes, and sometimes, we don't have time to "stop and smell the roses." But what we have to make sure of is that that "sometimes" stays that way. We don't want the busyness of the world to start taking over our lives to where we don't have any time to look for the beautiful things around us that aren't so easily seen.
So what do we need to do? How can we keep that perspective, or maybe even gain that perspective if we haven't already? Well you see, we have to look. We have to see the things that we, or even other people, do not usually see! There are beautiful things that we are missing and they are right in front of us! Take a look at the shape of the leaves, the petals on a flower, or the wings of a butterfly. Pay attention and take the time to look at all of these beautiful creations that God has placed in front of you, and think; maybe He has placed the small beauties in your life so that you would take the time to slow down and look at them.
