"Whenever I am afraid, I will trust in You." Psalm 56:3
Life can be scary.. There are a lot of things that we don't know, there are a lot of things that look like they may not turn out, and there are a lot of things that may seem impossible to us. It can be hard, I know. But when these things come around, when we face something impossible or unknown, we need to learn not to let it take us over. We need to learn not to worry. Doesn't that sound great? Not worrying? I know that you most likely think that it does, but you are also probably wondering how we could possibly do that...
Well, first of all, we need to start off by taking a step back and looking at our faith. We need to look back, through all the times that we have had it and ask, "Did God get me through that?" When you do this, you are going to see that, in your life, there have been many things that you have gone through that are worse than the one you are in right now. There have been scarier situations, more impossible obstacles, and even more unknown outcomes that you probably never thought you were going to get through. But look. Look where you are right now. That was God that brought you through those situations. That was God who brought you here, and that is exactly what it is going to do over and over again, for you are His son, you are His daughter, and He is going to take care of you.
But see, the next step is to trust, and I think that this is the hardest step for some people. We have to take all of these worries that we have, we have to take all of the fears and the concerns, and we need to send them up to God. We need to give them all to Him and let Him take that off of our shoulders. And when we do this, we need to trust Him with them. We need to trust that He is going to take care of us, He is going to supply for us, and He is not going to let us fall. So don't just give Him all of those things and take them back and hour later. No! But instead, give them to Him for good. When they are gone, don't even think about them again, and just know that God is taking care of them, taking care of your situation, your life, and taking care of you, because He wants the best life for His child, and He is going to make sure that you get it.
