"Be A Fountain, Not A Drain."

"Be a fountain, not a drain." Rex Hudler

I want to ask you a question today, and even though it may seem simple and somewhat odd, I want you to answer. Now, what is the difference between a fountain and a drain? Just take a minute and think about it..  So now, are you finding your qualities today to be more like that fountain or more like that drain?
Now, what exactly am I saying with this analogy? Well you see, when I think about the difference between a fountain and a drain, the main difference that comes to my mind is that, with a drain, it sucks stuff in, while a fountain does quite the opposite. A fountain sucks stuff in, but in return is sprays it out. Now, I think that some of us today have a "draining" attitude. We take stuff in, we let the compliments, the kind gestures, the joy of our lives pour into us, just as we should, but we don't let anything back out in return. We kind of just keep to ourselves, thinking that we deserve all of this, why should we have to share it all with anyone else? But see, which would you rather come across in your path, a drain, or a fountain? Well a fountain of course, because it is much more beautiful than a drain. It is more appealing. See, my friend, when we not only take the compliments and the kind gestures in but also pour them out to others, we aren't just allowing ourselves to gain more of them in the future, but there is a certain light about us, a beauty, and when people come to you, they leave having gained same thing.
So today, rid yourself of that "draining" attitude, and start pouring your light and joy out to others around you. You will be surprised by the difference that it will make.
