"The best is yet to come." Unknown
I think that, sometimes in our lives, we dread the day that is in front of us. We look at it with a perspective that we need to go to either work or school, that we need to do all of the chores, and that our to-do list is a mile long, but my friend, you are missing something. Something that could make your life so much better, you are missing the potential.
Now you see, I know that we have stuff that we need to take care of that we might not really want to do, but you need to look past that and stop dreading the day in front of you. See, you have most likely heard the quote, "the best is yet to come," said by new college graduates, new parents, etc, but have you ever applied it to your own life? Have you ever thought that each day has the potential to be the best day of your life?
The answer to that is probably no, because reality has taught us that what we see in our future, what we know is going to happen, that is what we have to look forward to, and that's it. But listen, we need to rid ourselves of that mindset, and we need to gain the perspective that is not of reality but rather, is of God. See, God sees the day that we have in front of us, and He does not see all of the chores and to-do lists that we have lined up, but do you know what it is that He sees instead? He sees the miracles, the opportunities that you'd never thought you would get, He sees the dreams coming true, the prayers being answered, the blessings available for you to walk into, and just all of the potential that that day holds for you. That, my friend, is what God sees, and even though we may not know what it is, gain His perspective, and treat every day with the mentality of "the best is yet to come."
