"Jesus replied, 'you don't understand what I'm doing now, but someday you will.'" John 13:7
Maybe today, you are going through something in your life where you are asking God why he has caused this to happen. Why is it that you are having to go through such a disappointment? Why are you having to experience this pain? We just don't understand. But you see, my friend, we don't have to.
So what is it that we can do to get past these situations? We feel like the pain and the struggle that they bring are never going to end, and we question God, and His ability to control our lives. But listen, as it says in John 13:7, we don't have to understand what God is doing in our lives right now, and I think that that is what we have the most trouble with. We can't get past the fact of not knowing why this is happening, we like to have control over our lives, and when we don't, we feel helpless, especially in situations where we are hurting and where we are disappointed, but you see, I had someone tell me once that, sometimes we aren't going to know why God is doing something in our lives and we aren't going to understand it, that is, we aren't going to see the answer until we are actually in heaven, asking God himself why He had caused that to happen.
But you see my friend, even though you may not see a reason right now, doesn't mean there isn't one. God has a purpose for everything that happens in our lives, and yours is not an exception. He wants the best for you, and even though it may hurt right now, that pain and that disappointment cannot compare to the joy that is to come. God is going to reward you for your struggles, and He is going to make what you went through worth it, I promise.
So today, I just want you to trust God, even though you can't understand. Just know that even though you don't know why something is happening, just know that God does, and despite the hurt and the pain, He is going to make sure that it all works out for your good.
