Today, I want you to break out of your shell, the shell that each of us have, whether it be shyness, timidness, fear, worry, or hesitation. We have these things and they affect our journey, they affect the decisions that we make on what path to take or what to do, but let me tell you today, that you don't have to be confined by your shell.
Now, I know that it can be very difficult to break out of this said shell, but I don't think we realize how much it is holding us back. You see, Nora Roberts makes some very good points as to how our shells, how the doubts, hesitation, and fear, can hold us back from the future that God has for us. She first states the point, "if you don't go after what you want, you'll never have it." See, in this bit, she is telling us that we have to go out there, whether it be outside of our comfort zone or not, we have to go after something that we want, it's not just going to come right to us. We have to go to it, or else you are never going to have it.
Roberts then says, "If you don't ask, the answer is always no." Now, what prayers do you have on the inside of you today? Prayers that you are just too afraid to ask God for because they seem too big, too impossible, but let me tell you, that God is never going to answer that prayer until you bring it to Him, and He doesn't care how big or impossible it might seem; nothing is too big for Him! So bring your prayers willingly to Him, let Him take control of them, for if you don't, the answer to them will always be no.
Lastly, Roberts' final point is, "if you don't step forward, you're always in the same place." You see, after you've prayed, after you know what you want, you have to break down that shell of hesitation, that fear of something that could possibly go wrong, and start moving forward, rather than staying in the sameplace. Start walking into the life of potential that God has ahead of you, without letting anything hold you back.
